One place where they can do that once again is the woodland playground at Chatsworth House, which has reopened with some brand new facilities.

Having closed for refurbishment works, parents had wondered when it might reopen, with little in the way of official news.

However, in a statement on the Derbyshire stately home’s Facebook page, it was revealed that the park reopened last Saturday, April 20, with some additional features.

Those features include rope bridges, new slides, pathways and ramps to make it more accessible.

There are also braille dominoes for visually-impaired kids to play with and other activities within the playground’s two towers.

The statement reads: “Adventure awaits! Our woodland playground at the farmyard reopens tomorrow, Saturday 20 April.

“Climb our giant towers for a bird’s eye view of the tree tops, venture along sky high rope bridges and zoom down shiny new slides.

“Discover games and activities inside the towers, from spinning pairs and braille dominoes to fun facts about bees – all accessible for everyone with our new pathways and ramp access.

“We can’t wait to welcome you. Get ready to let your imaginations run wild.”

The news brought lots of excited responses from parents, who said they couldn’t wait to take their children there once again.

One wrote: “This looks amazing! I was gutted when the big play area was taken away! I can’t wait to come now.”

Another said: “We have been today and it was brill one of the best outdoor play areas around for us! My boy’s 6 and absolutely loved it!”

A third added: “So glad this has been done we were so disappointed when we came in the summerholidays! This looks like it’s back to its former glory!”

The playground isn’t the only thing children can do at Chatsworth this spring, with lamb feeding experiences currently running for another month.

Kids can help bottle feed the lambs in the farmyard, allowing them to get up close with the animals.

Children can then spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the farmyard and playground at their leisure.

It also includes a complimentary bag of animal feed to hand out to the rest of the farmyard creatures.

It costs £12.50 per person and runs until May 20.

Meanwhile, the world’s largest children’s play structure is in the UK.

And this free play park in the UK has pirate ships and is a parents’ favourite.
